I pay close attention to light, composition and the quiet tension that exists in between the obvious moments- the deep breath before a ceremony, the way hands find each other in the dark, the way the wind, water and landscape become part of the story.

I've spent nearly my entire life on the coast of Maine, and the last fifteen years rooted in its southern shores- close enough to the water that summer meant living on the beach as much as anywhere else. Photography found me early, carried forward by love and loss, and somewhere along the line it became the thing I do with everything I feel about this place and people in it. The working men and women, the salt-of-the-earth characters who built this coastline- and the ones who fall in love with it the moment they arrive.
